We are developing a digital ecosystem for surgeons to accelerate learning and shorten the surgical learning curve. To enable standardized assessments of surgical quality at scale, we combine human expertise with artificial intelligence.
To integrate quality and skill assessments into surgical practice we are building the tools and networks needed to scale internationally. We build, provide, and use tools for an international, multicenter data collection and AI training – creating the foundation for a data driven improvement in surgical care.
What defines surgical skill – and how can we provide actionable insights for a training process? How can we draw surgically relevant information from movement and use of instruments? By using AI and learning psychology we aim to answer those questions not in the lab, but in clinical reality.
We believe that AI will help to democratize access to surgical skill by scaling assessment, improvement and assurance of surgical quality.
That’s why we promote a technical, legal, motivational and trustworthy ecosystem that connects surgeons, surgical data scientists, and industry to facilitate research and development for clinical translation of Surgical AI.
